This course is designed for personnel who determine, classify, store, mark, label, accumulate, manifest, or otherwise manage hazardous and industrial solid waste and who require training under the EPA RCRA regulations and Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) requirements.
• Determine whether a waste is hazardous waste, Class 1, 2, or 3 industrial solid waste • Identify applicable EPA hazardous waste codes and Texas waste codes • Classify industrial solid wastes and assign Texas 8-digit waste codes • Calculate hazardous waste generator category requirements • Properly store, mark, and label hazardous and industrial wastes • Manage accumulation areas, container inspections, and storage requirements • Prepare hazardous waste manifests, e-Manifests, and Texas shipping documentation • Comply with emergency preparedness and contingency planning requirements • Manage universal waste and used oil • Meet Land Disposal Restriction (LDR) requirements • Maintain required records and avoid common EPA and TCEQ compliance violations
